In a bizarre partnership that defies traditional predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Disclosed

According to the official release, "A strange meeting leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of banned practices and terrifying transformations resonate through the darkness." The narrative features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a secret group.

The adventure centers on "peculiar tests and a terrifying foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Transformations

The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Extra Content

Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an exclusive katana together with multiple items concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Newest Free Story Update

This update also introduces the game's third complimentary story addition, titled "The Enigma."
